ENROLLMENT REQUIREMENTS

Associate's Degree

Proof of high school graduation with a graduating grade point average of 2.00 on a 4.00 scale.
A student who earned the General Education Development certificate must submit and official G.E.D. transcript from the State Department of Education of the state that issued the certificate. A minimum score of 50 is required. If the G.E.D. was taken after June 2003, a minimum score of 500 is required.
A cumulative grade point average of 2.20 in previous college work, if applicable. Official transcripts from all colleges or universities attended must be submitted.
One year of relevant full-time work experience after high school and current full-time employment.
A minimum age of 22.
Applicants whose native language is not English must demonstrate the ability to read, write and understand English and submit evidence of proficiency in English by scoring 525 or above on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). If the TOEFL was taken after Jun 2003, a minimum score of 197 is required.

(An applicant whose grade point average is below 2.20 will be referred to the Admissions Committee for individual consideration for probational admission.)

Bachelor's Degree & Certificate Program

A minimum of 54 semester hours of transferable credit earned from a regionally accredited college or university and / or CLEP, PEP, ACE, or other standardized examinations. Credit must be college level and must have a grade of "C" or better.
PLEASE NOTE: Students with fewer than 54 hours can begin on a special schedule to bring their number of hours up to the required level.

An overall grade point of average of 2.20 on a 4.00 scale in previous college work. Official transcripts from all colleges or universities attended must be submitted.
Two years of relevant work experience after high school and current full-time employment.
A minimum age of 23.

1. Successful completion of a total of 66 semester credits with a cumulative grade point average of 2.20 or better.
2. Successful completion of 30 semester credits in the core major with a cumulative grade point average of 2.20 or better.
3. Satisfaction of 33 semester credits from Aquinas' General Education Requirements:

English Composition – 6 semester credits
Math – 3 semester credits
Science – 3-4 semester credits
History – 3 semester credits
Behavioral Studies – 3 semester credits
Ethics (At Aquinas Only) – 3 semester credits
Theology (At Aquinas Only) – 3 semester credits
Literature – 3 semester credits
Humanities – 3 semester credits
Computer Competency – 3 semester credits

4. Payment of all tuition and fees.

Bachelor's Degree
1. Successful completion of a total of 127 semester credits with a cumulative grade point average of 2.20 or better.
2. Successful completion of 53 credits in the core curriculum with a cumulative grade point average of 2.20 or better.
3. Satisfaction of Aquinas College's General Education Requirements
(45 semester credits):

English Composition – 6 semester credits
Speech Communication – 3 semester credits
Math – 6 semester credits
Science – 3 semester credits
History – 3 semester credits
Behavioral Studies – 6 semester credits
Ethics (At Aquinas Only) – 3 semester credits

Human Resources Certificate
1. Successful completion of a total of 14 semester credits in the Certificate Core with a cumulative grade point average of 2.20 or better.
